India's Vijender Singh as he notched up his fourth successive knockout professional win by pummelling Hungary’s Alexander Horvath in under three rounds.

Fighting from blue corner, Vijender dominated his 20-year-old opponent, who was reportedly drinking snake's blood to enhance his endurance levels, from the start, despite a series of punches coming from the Hungarian in the first round. But the real difference came when the Indian landed couple of one-twos before the first gong.

It was not the cleanest of the bouts but the Indian managed to show his class, in all aspects. The Hungarian somehow managed to survived the second round, despite Vijender landing numerous punches.

"It's a good start for me beginning 2016 on a winning note. I am happy for registering knockout win. I think this is a great start for me looking ahead my fight in India in June this year. My target is to win Asia title in front of my homecrowd and looking forward to register two more knockout wins in April before i play in India. I would like to thank Indian fans in Liverpool and all supporting me on digital media," Vijender said after the bout.

For Vijender however, who has been on a "desi-ghee" diet ahead of the fight, it's all about displaying his acumen inside the ring on the fight night. "I will hit him [Horvath] so much that all the snake blood will come out," the Indian pugilist told The Times of India.

"Yes, I am hearing that he is taking snake-blood diet. Probably it's his way to prepare and think that he can beat me, but I feel my normal diet containing 'desi ghee' is enough to generate power in my punches and beat him badly," Vijender told IBN Live.

"I know there is a lot of hype around him and he’s a bit of a celebrity back in India but none of that will help him once he steps in the ring with me. I’m heading over to England to teach him a lesson in boxing and there’s only going to be one winner. On the night I will be too strong and too quick for him," Alexander Horvath said before the bout.
