In the state of Andhra Pradesh, South Korea has come forward to invest INR 4,000 Crore. About 37 companies have shown their interest to invest in the state and generate 7,000 jobs. This proposal officially presumed to take a shape by March 2018. According to the CMO South Korea Consul-General, Kim Hyung, met the Chief Minister Naidu and discussed upon various facets, and are looking to strengthen the financial and cultural ties with the state. It has also been reported that the companies are looking forward to establishing their firms in the upcoming Korean city in the state. The Chief Minister Naidu assured the officials of South Korea that Andhra Pradesh is served with favorable conditions to do business and any potential problems that might arise over the due course of time will be immediately dealt with. 

In the few days ago it was reported that Andhra Pradesh is likely to grab a 'South Korean City' in the state's capital Amaravati or elsewhere in the state. The South Korean commission had proposed to bring in at least 30 companies in the sectors of logistics, electric steel, automobile components, liquors, marine equipment, medical, and many more to Andhra Pradesh.

French multinational ienformation technology consulting corporation 'Capgemini' is expected to hire over 20,000 people in India this year and has re-skilled 45,000 employees until May as it takes step towards the automation. It hired 33,000 employees last year and re-skilled 51,000. About 1,00,000 people were working in its India operations. Most of the IT companies are hiring fewer people and re-skilling staff in adopting automation and digitisation. Nasscom's anual review said jobs grew only by 5% in FY17 and there may be a 20-25% reduction over the next three years. 

The gap between revenue and job growth is expected to increase, given the commoditised nature of IT services as robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence become a part of the business model. TCS, India's largest IT firm, said it offered jobs to close to 20,000 this it offered jobs to close to 20,000 this fiscal and has skilled 200,000 employees across 600,000 competencies. The Mumbai-based company had 3,87,223 employees at March end, against 3,53,843 a year ago -a jump of 9.5%. Bangalore-based Infosys is going to hire 20,000 in India in FY 2018.Total number of employees in Infosys stood at 2,00,364 as of March 31, 2017 versus 1,94,044 a year ago -a mere 3% increase.  In its annual report, Infosys said automation has helped it eliminate around 11,000 full-time employees worth of effort and repurpose those people into more "valuable and rewarding" tasks.

The Government think tank 'Niti Aayog' has recommended to the Prime Minister's Office a complete privatisation of Air India. Air India, which has over INR 52,000 Crores debt burden, is surviving on a INR 30,000 Crores bailout package extended by the UPA government in 2012. Air India was originally launched in 1932 by 'Tata Airline' by Tata Group patriarch JRD Tata. It was incorporated as Air India International in 1948 as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Tata Group to start overseas services. And after 5 Years the government decided to nationalise the aviation industry bringing the airline under its control.

Warburg Pincus, LLC an American private equity firm will buy about 43% stake in Tata Technologies Ltd, an Indian engineering outsourcing provider $360 million (INR 23.25 Billion). Warburg will also buy about 30% stake from Tata Motors and Sheba Properties Ltd which is a subsidiary and in Tata Capital about 13% held in Tata Technologies, Tata Motors said in a statement that the Tata Motors and affiliates of Tata Group will continue to own about 43% of Tata Technologies, while the company's management team and other shareholders will own the remaining, the statement said.

Tata Motors Group Finance chief C. Ramakrishnan said that the partial divestment is part of Tata Motors plan to strategically monetize part of the value created while also including a valuable partner, together with whom the Company can excel its next phase of growth, in the statement.

The demand for the electronic goods in India is anticipated to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 41% during the year 2017-20 to reach $400 billion (INR 25,788.56 Billion) by 2020, according to a joint study by industry lobby Assocham and NEC Technologies. The domestic manufacturing of electronic products which is currently growing at a CAGR of 27% may touch $104 billion, leaving a major gap for import to the extent of $300 billion (INR 19,344.51 Billion). As the India is becoming home for the middle-class people, the increased income has led to increased consumer demand for electronics goods especially advanced mobile phones, TVs and computers. The study points that domestic production requires to meet the government's vision of turning India into a manufacturing hub. The Indian electronics and hardware market grew by 8.6% year-on-year to reach $75 billion (INR 4,836.13 Billion) in 2015, driven by rising local demand, according to the study.

The State Bank of India (SBI) said that for demonetisation it is likely to continue slowing down the nation's economy while negatively influencing its business, reported by Press Trust. In its Preliminary Placement Document to investors, pointed its concerns and possible risks before its INR 15,000 Crores share sale through private placement. The statement says that the demonetisation has and may continue to result in slow down of the Indian economy, which may adversely affect the banking business. The document says that there was an increase in the number of new current account and savings accounts deposits in banks. The bank expresses concerns that SBI risked facing increased competition from commercial banks and other lending institutions with a chance of losing out on profits if it fails to compete.

After its merger with five of its associates and the Bharatiya Mahila Bank in April, SBI rose to join the world's top 50 banks from its 2016 position of 55. The Centre had demonetised INR 500 and INR 1,000 notes in November-2016 as part of its crackdown against black money and corruption. The drive had led to a severe cash gnaw in the nation.

A Renewable energy company 'Gamesa India' has inaugurated a manufacturing unit at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The company had invested around INR 300 Crores in the state. The Manufacturing unit was inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. This was the Company's largest manufacturing facility in India and which is one of the part of Gamesa's 100 million euro investment proposal for India as announced in 2014. Suzlon Group has bagged an 50 MW wind power project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Gross of Non-Performing Assets (NPA's) at State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) jumped 196.2% to INR 15,306.98 Crores at the end of the September quarter from INR 5,167.80 Crores a year ago, SBH reported a second quarter net loss of INR 776.64 Crores due to higher provisions. The bank has declared a net profit of INR 375.31 Crores in the last year same quarter. The loss was confined due to tax write-back of INR 197.12 Crores against tax expenses of INR 189.87 Crores.

Net Interest Income (NII) falls 1.38% to INR 1,111.56 Crores in the September quarter from INR 1,127.06 Crores last year. Other income increased 73.3% to INR 569.59 Crores from INR 328.68 Crores in the same period last year. Employee cost fell 24.3% from a year ago to INR 261.38 Crores. Gross Non-Performing assets (NPAs) at SBH jumped 196.2% to INR 15,306.98 Crores at the end of the September quarter from INR 5,167.80 Crores a year ago. As a percentage of total loans, gross NPAs were at 13.66% at the end of the September quarter as compared to 4.92% in the previous year. Provisions and contingencies surged 755% to INR 2,074.94 Crores in the quarter from INR 242.70 Crores a year ago. Net NPAs were at 8.64% in the September quarter compared to 2.39% in the last year.
