Indian budget airline SpiceJet Ltd. is awaited to order around 92 Boeing Co. 737 jetliners as the carrier plots quick augmentation in the world's fastest growing aerospace market. With this deal more than double SpiceJet's 49-plane fleet, which will be closed within weeks after prolonged talks that be marked Boeing against opponent Airbus Group SE, according to the sources.The 92 Max jets costs about $10.1 billion before the discounts that are usual for large purchases.

With the effect of this deal, SpiceJet would shut down operations for a day. Ajay Singh (Current chairman and co-founder) bailed outs for the low-cost carrier. Boeing will gain a stronger toehold in India.

Venkaiah Naidu (Union Minister) said Andhra Pradesh has steadily increased Air Passengers, the proposed extension of a runway will help meet this demand and also boost the developments in the region. The Current growth level of air passenger traffic in Andhra Pradesh lies at 61 % as against the average national figure of 17 %, Naidu said. Venkaiah Naidu said after laying the foundation stone for the runway extension at the airport in East Godavari District which involves a cost of around INR 187 Crores. Union Minister said Airport will play an important role in the industrial development coming up along the coast from Visakhapatnam to Chennai. This will also help in transportation of perishable goods from the region. 

Venkaiah said Aviation Sector has witnessed a remarkable growth in passenger traffic and praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for reducing VAT on Aviation Turbine Fuel. He said an MoU has been signed among the Andhra Government, Civil Aviation Ministry and Airports Authority of India on inter connectivity of airports. There is a need to develop Visakhapatnam airport for international flights, he added.

The first eco-friendly A320 Neo built by European aircraft major Airbus landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi today, and was delivered to IndiGo. IndiGo is the first airline among Asian airlines to have the latest aircraft from Airbus. The delivery of the eco-friendly Airbus 320 a new engine option planes to IndiGo, which is the largest customer of Airbus aircraft in India, was to be commenced from December last year but technical issues at that time forced a postponement. The delivery of the first brand new A320 Neo reaffirms IndiGo's commitment to the long term future of aviation in India. This marks the beginning of the next phase of our growth and will enable us to make air transportation far more accessible for the people of India, IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh said in a statement. The A320 Neo fleet will set a benchmark by significantly reducing the impact on environment and lead the way to a more sustainable mode of flying, he said. Airbus claims the new aircraft is 15% more fuel efficient than the exiting versions of A320.
