Suzlon Group has bagged an 50 MW
wind power project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon a leading global
renewable energy solutions provider, announced winning this order. ‘The project
consists of 24 units of S95 90m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1 MW. The project was scheduled for completion by
March 2017. This order win takes the current year's total order portfolio with
the business house to 84 MW, out of which 33.60 MW was announced earlier as a
part of order wins from SME’s. Suzlon will provide comprehensive operation and
maintenance for a period of 20 years, and it also includes staunch life cycle
asset management services to the project. The project has potential to provide
power to over 27,000 households and reduce 0.10 million tonnes of CO2 excretion
per annum. Suzlon Group CEO JP Chalasani said our focus is to bring down the
cost of energy by investing in technologically advanced products and thereby
enable renewable energy to make the move from alternative to mainstream energy.
