Telangana to set up 12,500 acre Pharma City

The Telangana government ordered to setup of a 'Pharma City' on 12,500 acres of land in Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy districts. As Telangana is a bulk drugs capital of the country with almost one-third of total production in value terms, the government plans not only the leader status in the sector but also ease setting up of the most of modern facilities with all necessary wherewithal in an integrated manner. A one-stop destination for pharmaceuticals manufacturing companies, life sciences companies and biotech with all related activities a report said. The actual location and exact extent of land will be firmed up based on the availability of government land and private land.
