Towards protest of special status for Andhra
Pradesh, Congress on Monday seek an assurance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was rejected by the Speaker. The members of YSR Congress straggle by raising slogans for demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh following the effigy out of Telangana
state. By holding placards MP's of YSRCP defied the
Speaker who continuously counsel them to return to their seats and not to display
the banners. As the House was taking up Question
Hour, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that the YSR Congress members are
routinely raising the issue, thus disrupting the proceedings. Mallikarjun Kharge said the Prime Minister
should come to House and assure the unnerve members as his precursor Manmohan Singh had assured special status for Andhra Pradesh. And the Speaker said every now and then calling the Prime Minister is 'not
necessary' as Finance Minister (Arun Jaitley) has already made a statement
on the issue.
