India will give formal consent to the Paris climate change pact at the United Nations (UN), according to sources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet had given its approval on Wednesday to give consent to the Paris agreement on Sunday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Himank Kothiyal (Environment Ministry Representative) said Indian officials would hand over the ratification utensil to UN officials in New York on Sunday. India accounts for about 4.5% of global greenhouse gas release. The Paris pact will come into force when 55 countries contributing to at least 55% of total global release treaty the deal. So far 61 countries have deposited their instruments of approval accounting for 47.8% of global ejection an Indian government statement said.

India has enacted that by 2030 that at-least 40% of its electricity will be generated from non-fossil sources. This includes 175GW Renewable energy capacity by 2022. Money is the strong challenge for India, which requires over $2.5tn to meet all its targets. Which will achieve the targets only if other countries give it money and discounts on new technology.

According to the reports by New World Wealth, India has been ranked seventh in the list of top 10 wealthiest countries in the world. With total individual wealth of $ 5,200 billion, India is largely owing to its large population. Adding that on a per capita basis, the average Indian is 'quite poor'. India only makes the W10 due to its large population. Over the past 15 years the country grew 'strongly' and china was the fastest growing W10 country from past 2000-2015. Australia and India also grew strongly as per reports. 

India has overtaken Italy this past year, Canada and Australia are expected to overtake Italy in the next coming years. Australia's ranking is stirring considered it has only 22 million people living.

Pakistan expressed 'serious concern' over India's Controversial Draft Geospatial Information Regulation Bill, based on United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, but experts say there is no merit in the claim. Pakistan's foreign affairs ministry officially said they have sent letters to the United Nations Secretary General and the President of the UN Security Council expressing 'serious concerns' over India to introduce the Geospatial bill in the Indian parliament. In violation of UNSC resolutions, the official map of India has been delineate the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) as part of india which is factually incorrect and legally unarguable. The Pakistani ministry has asked the United Nations (UN) to uphold the UNSC resolutions and thirst india to stop such acts which are in violation of international law.

After China blocked India's bid at the United Nations to ban Masood Azhar, it was told that it cannot have double standards on terrorism, V K Singh (Union Minister of State for External Affairs) said on Saturday. We have informed to China in clear terms that you cannot have two standards on terrorism. China cannot say that it will't accept or it is against terrorism and at the same time china support a leader of a terrorist outfit, V K Singh said. The United Nations had banned Jaish-e-Mohammad but India's efforts seeking a ban on Masood after 2008 Mumbai terror attack, did not productive as China did not allow the ban. When asked about India's disapproval to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the minister said there are problems. It is through a territory which belongs to India and India has raised its concerns and has told China about it. Let's see. Once we have expressed our point you need to consider what exactly is the status of that territory. We will wait a bit to see what China says about it, V K said.
