AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is wooing American aerospace and defence technologies major Lockheed Martin to Andhra Pradesh. According to a report in The New Indian Express, the Andhra Pradesh CM is trying to convince Lockheed Martin and Airbus to set up shop in his state.

At the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting with Marillyn Hewson, CEO of Lockheed Martin, an American global aerospace, defence, security and advanced technologies company. He reportedly invited the company to invest in the Sunrise State. It looks like Hewson told the AP CM that they were looking to shift some of their manufacturing facility to India and were looking for an ideal location. The daily also states that post this meeting, Chandrababu Naidu met with Fabrice Bregier, CEO of Airbus (a division of the Airbus Group which manufactures civil aircraft). Bregier reportedly told chandra babu that he would be coming to Andhra Pradesh to explore whether they could make investments in the state. Naidu informed the CEO that India's first satellite-launching station was located in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh and they were trying to create an ecosystem for the space and defence industry at Anantapur as it was close to Bengaluru.
