Isuzu Japanese automaker on wednesday introduced D-Max V-Cross pick-up from the newly-launched plant in Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Chandra Babu inaugurated the manufacturing plant. Isuzu Motors India expects to produce 50,000 units per annum in coming three years. Naohiro Yamaguchi (Isuzu Motors India managing
director) said initial production capacity of the plant
is 50,000 units per annum and can also be scaled up to 1,20,000 units in the end. Naohiro said in present market we cannot
aim 50,000 figure in coming 2-3 years we have to open up new
markets, we can reach 50,000 mark in the coming 3 years. We
cannot say exactly when we will reach 1,20,000 units. We are still in
the start up phase.
Chief Minister said his
government will grant exemption of road tax for Iuszu vehicles which are manufactured and sold in the state. He also said the government would
examine according to 'Mega Project' status to Isuzu plant.
