Around 50 child's in the age group of one month to 14 years die of cancer every day in India, as per the recent study which also says the reason is due to lack of advanced treatment options in the country. The study was published in the Journal of Global Oncology, the study is been conducted by researchers from international institutes, including Mumbai's Tata Memorial Centre and University of Toronto and pegs the rate of mortality due to pediatric cancer in India at 37 per million every year.

In developed countries more than 80 percent of children are suffering from cancer are cured because of proper advanced treatments. Cancer is fast outbreak of a disease proportions in India. According to a Lancet report of 2014, over 1 Millon new cases of cancer are diagnosed every year in the country. As per WHO (World Health Organization) cancer cases in India will multiply five times over 2025. The Successful implementation requires several measures including improved anti-sugar measures, lifestyle, anti-tobacco, eating, pollution control and infrastructure development.
