Perturbed over the attack on the procession of two Union ministers in Odisha, Rajnath Singh (Home Minister) on Saturday called Governor S C Jamir and Chief Minister Navin Patnaik, asked them to fortify the safety and security of central ministers visiting the state. The cavalcade of Union Ministers Sadhvi Niranjan, Santosh Gangwar Jyoti and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda was pelted with stones supposedly by a group of ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) workers led by one MLA, when they were on way to attend a meeting in Bargarh to mark two years of the NDA government. In his telephonic conversation, Rajnath Singh asked Chief Minister to look into the incident and to take proper action to prevent such incidents in the future.
