The CPI (Maoist) had released a
letter they swear a suicide attack on the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N
Chandrababu Naidu and his son N.Lokesh, to the avenge of killing 29 of their
cadre in an encounter at Malkangiri. Sources says that there had been
intelligence inputs that Maoists had links with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam (LTTE). The four-page letter sent to media in the state, in which Shyam (CPI-Maoist
AP Committee spokesperson) said Chandrababu escaped the attempt on his life at
Alipiri, Tirumala in October 2003, but he would not be able to escape this
time. No police or military force can save you this time. Shyam alleged that Chandra
Babu was notorious for such killings in the past. Soon after returning to the power
he killed 21 labourers in a fake encounter branding them as red sanders
smugglers.
Describing Monday’s encounter as
fake, Shyam alleged that the Greyhounds (the elite anti-Maoist force of Andhra
Pradesh police) using their coverts mixed poison in the food given to the
Maoists, after they felled unconscious the police opened fire at them and
killed 24 of them indiscriminately. He also alleged that the police forces kidnapped some of the
injured Maoists and tortured them for several hours, they killed four of them on
Tuesday.
