Andhra Pradesh Govt had announced Nandi Awards on Tuesday for the 3 years 2014, 2015 and 2016. The award function was expected to be held in December. The list has some eminent names. The NTR National Award for the year 2014 went to Kamal Haasan while the honour was vouchsafe upon Raghavendra Rao Garu for year 2015 and for Superstar Rajinikanth for the year 2016. Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi was given the Raghupathi Venkaiah State award for the year 2016.

Legend Bala Krishna bagged best actor award for 2014 for his film Legend, while Super Star Mahesh Babu bagged the coveted award for Srimathudu in the year 2015. Jr NTR's 'Nannaaku Prematho' and 'Janatha Garage' escort him the best actor award for the year 2016.

While the enormous Indian blockbuster 'Baahubali' earned the award for 2015. 'Pellichoopulu' walked away with the honour for 2016. The Best director award was given to Boyapati Srinu for Legend for the year 2014 while Naga Chaitanya fetched the honour of Best Supporting actor for Manam. And the Legend movie's leading lady Geetanjali bagged the honour of best actress for the year 2014 while Anushka bagged the best actress award for Rudhramadevi and Size Zero in 2015. For Pellichoopulu movie actress 'Ritu Varma' bagged the honour for the 2016. Lakshmi Manchu was awarded the Best Supporting actress award for Chandamama Kathalu.

NTR won the award in the category of Best actor for his fantastic performance in Temper.  He expressed his happiness over receiving the award and said that  Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Victory Venkatesh and ANR  are the inspiration of him and all his generation actors  but the speech was slightly modified by MAA TV and they placed the names of NTR & ANR before Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna which gave shock to the  others who watched its original speech  on social networking sites.  But what is the need to edit the speech, has become the hot topic of discussion on social media. The social media did not leave any topic and trolled the entire activity of the MAA award event on the internet.

The most prestigious CineMAA Awards ceremony of the Telugu film industry was attend by all the Tollywood celbs on Sunday at HICC, Hyderabad. Baahubali, which stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati , Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in pivotal roles, received 13 awards in total. Ramya Krishna won the Best Supporting Actor (Female) Award for her performance in the film while Srinivas Mohan and Sabu Cyril received awards in technical categories, while Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu received five awards.

Best Actress in popular category went to Anushka for her bravura performance in Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudhramadevi’. Allu Arjun was given Critics Award for his performance as Gona Ganna Reddy in ‘Rudhramadevi’.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan won his fourth National award for 'Piku', while it was a second consecutive best actress win for Kangana Ranaut at the National Film Awards announced in New Delhi today, which saw Bollywood's dominance in major categories, barring the top prize that went to multilingual 'Baahubali'.



S.S Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ was adjudged best film for all the obvious reason. The grand scale of story telling, never before seen special effects and the sheer magnificence of the story-telling left the country in awe – as is proved by the resounding commercial success of the movie. This award comes as a nod to the creative genius of the storytellers as they piece together the next installment of the epic. The movie also won the award for best special effects.

The leading lady of ‘Tanu weds Manu returns’ Kangana Ranaut was awarded best actress for her performance in a role that garnered her much acclaim. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali of the song-and-dance fame was crowned best director for his movie ‘Bajirao Matani’. The movie is a visual treat in trademark Bhansali style, and incorporates several stunningly choreographed song and dance sequences. It also won choreographer Remo D’Souza the award for best choreography for the song ‘Deewani Mastani’. Salman starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is the most ‘popular film providing wholesome entertainment’.
