Andhra Pradesh Govt had announced Nandi Awards on Tuesday for the 3 years 2014, 2015 and 2016. The award function was expected to be held in December. The list has some eminent names. The NTR National Award for the year 2014 went to Kamal Haasan while the honour was vouchsafe upon Raghavendra Rao Garu for year 2015 and for Superstar Rajinikanth for the year 2016. Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi was given the Raghupathi Venkaiah State award for the year 2016.

Legend Bala Krishna bagged best actor award for 2014 for his film Legend, while Super Star Mahesh Babu bagged the coveted award for Srimathudu in the year 2015. Jr NTR's 'Nannaaku Prematho' and 'Janatha Garage' escort him the best actor award for the year 2016.

While the enormous Indian blockbuster 'Baahubali' earned the award for 2015. 'Pellichoopulu' walked away with the honour for 2016. The Best director award was given to Boyapati Srinu for Legend for the year 2014 while Naga Chaitanya fetched the honour of Best Supporting actor for Manam. And the Legend movie's leading lady Geetanjali bagged the honour of best actress for the year 2014 while Anushka bagged the best actress award for Rudhramadevi and Size Zero in 2015. For Pellichoopulu movie actress 'Ritu Varma' bagged the honour for the 2016. Lakshmi Manchu was awarded the Best Supporting actress award for Chandamama Kathalu.

Nandamuri Balakrishna announced a biopic picture of telugu idol late 'Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao'. The feature movie will be a biopic and will contain many unknown facets on the life of NTR. The Movie will feature all the developments in his life from birth to death. His film career, political entry and everything will be there in the film, Balakrishna said to reporters in his ancestral village Nimmakuru in Krishna district.

 NTR had acted in about 350 films and admired as the screen God for his portrait of roles like Sri Krishna, Sri Rama and Lord Venkateswara besides many mythological and historical characters. He founded Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and created a record by coming into power in a short span of nine months. NTR had served as a Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1983 to 1989. Balakrishna said many books have been written on my father. We are collecting several inputs from them and also by speaking to our relatives, the script for the biopic is currently being prepared.

According to reports, the director is all set to launch his next 1,000 crore-worth project, Garuda. The big budget movie will be made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and English.

The three films ‘Student No.1′, ‘Simhadri’ and ‘Yamadonga’, were ginormous blockbusters in the Telugu film industry. All these 3 films have one thing in common and that is the hit combination of JR NTR and SS Rajamouli. They are regarded as one of the most successful combinations in Tollywood and if reports are to be believed both of them are going to collaborate once again for a prodigious project.

The grapevine in tinsel town is ripe with the news of  Rajamouli planning a colossal venture with a budget of Rs.1000 crores once he completes ‘Baahubali 2′ and Mahesh Babu’s yet to be titled movie. As per reports, the film has been titled ‘Garuda’ and is based on the greatest epic Mahabharatha . 

Rajamouli is keen on roping in NTR Jr and Mohanlal for two important roles. It is worth mentioning that Rajamouli in a recent interview said if he makes a film based on Mahabharatha, he will cast only NTR for the role of Lord Krishna as no one else can do justice to that character other than Jr NTR .  Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is said to have already started working on the script of ‘Garuda’. An official announcement is yet to be made.
