The Supreme Court today had declined to
pass a fresh order to stop cockfights in Andhra Pradesh. Cockfights are popular in Andhra Pradesh during the Sankranti festival. A pew embrace of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice D Y Chandrachud wane to pass the order
when it was submitted that the Andhra Pradesh High Court regulation in this
view is not being followed. The senior advocate Siddharth
Lights who said the High Court order interdict cockfights in the state is not being
followed by the state administration. The request is refused, the
bench said.
