Only few doctors,unequipped hospitals, rapidly spreading disease, very little research and along with spiraling cost of treatment, cancer is fast becoming a major health menace for India with the healthcare system in shambles to tackle the burden. The country is facing shortage of oncologists with merely 2,000 to look after around 10 million patients in india. Besides, there is also a dearth of surgical oncologists and radio therapists, who play a crucial role in cancer treatment.
