CM Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated
the state interim government secretariat at Velagapudi village, Amaravati.
Chief Minister signed a file to waive of loan for farmers on this occasion.
Naidu said the government will begin operations from Amaravati region from
June-15. The construction of the government secretariat has been going on at a
speedy pace to meet the deadline. The Chief Minister announced a five-day
working week for employees who come to work at Velagapudi from Hyderabad and
they would be paid an additional 30% as house rent allowance (HRA). In the
Phase-1 govt will build 5,000 houses for the employees within a span of year in
the Amaravati. More number of houses will be built in the subsequent phases.
Chandra Babu also announced additional 50 square yards of land to farmers of
the region who gave their lands for development of the new capital.
