The Andhra Pradesh Government today
has signed an pact with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to foster innovation
in financial services in their respective markets. Under the financial technologies Co-operation
Agreement, MAS and the AP Government will scout joint innovation projects on technology
such as digital payments and block-chain, ally on development of education programs
and curricula on financial technologies, according to sources. The AP Government
and MAS also agreed to discuss emerging technology trends and exchange views on
regulatory issues related to innovations in financial services. The Pact was
signed in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence
in Undavalli.
