Indian Forces has conducted a surgical strikes last night along the LoC to buffer our nation, the GMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said on Thursday. The Motive of the operation was to hit out at terrorists who were planning to invade into our territory. Ranbir Singh blamed Pakistan for being unable to control terrorist activities which are under its control. The Surgical Strikes on ostensible 'terror launch pads' alongside the de-facto border had caused 'Significant damage to terrorists'. But there was no details of where the strikes took place or any casualties. Pakistani army officials said the fighting started in the early hours of the morning and continued for about six hours.

The September attack on the base at Uri Sector in Indian-administered Kashmir was the deadliest of its kind for years. Islamabad says India's pasture is a 'blatant attempt' to deflect attention from human rights abuses in the region. Pakistan said in a statement that two of its Army were killed during the India-Pak troops exchanged fire in LoC around 2:30 am. According to the media reports 38 militants were been killed by Para Commando forces.

The Indian Army already been killed 20 terrorists by crossing across the Line of Control (LoC) into POK in a stealthy operation to requite the torment of 18 of indian solders killed in Uri last week. According to the sources two units of the army's elite 2 Para Commandos conducted the operation in the Uri sector and attacked three terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). There is no report by any defence teams or from Govt of India so far, further claims that the total casualties in the operation could have been nearly 200. The operation was conducted by 18-20 soldiers of 2 Paras who glide into PoK in choppers was reportedly conducted during the nights of September 20th and 21st, i.e two days after the Uri Army camp attack. Citing sources in the army, The Quint said it 'Stood By its Story' many on social media questioned the fidelity of the report. The Indian Army has officially contradicted about carried operation. Even 'The Quint' decided to reconfirm the information from the sources. 'We stand by our story' said the disclaimer on top of the story. Both the armed forces and the government have denied this.

The United States asked Pakistan to co-operate with India for 26/11 investigation and have sue them to check all terror groups operating in their soil. We continue to lust the Pakistani government to co-operate with the Indian authorities to fully investigate these attacks, Mark Toner (State Department Deputy Spokesman) said reporters at his daily news conference. The Mumbai terrorist attack was a awful vicissitude. We want to see justice to be done and we continue to lust Pakistan cooperation, toner said. We have admonished them to do so in the past. We will continue to lust them to do so and have worked with them on addressing the very real threat on their own soil, Toner said.

Due to high temperatures fires across Himalayan state of Uttarakhand have burned more than 2,300 hectares of forests and killed six people. Officials says due to increased intensity this year forests being drier as unexpectedly high temperatures and low rainfall in the last two years. Others have said that the fires were started illegally by timber traders. The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF), the Indian army, Air force and 6,000 fire-fighters are involved in the efforts to save the forests. The fires had spread to 13 districts in the state of Uttarakhand such as Rudraprayag, Pauri, Tehri, Pithogarh, Nainital and Almora. There were also reports of blazes surrounding two major tiger reserves, Corbett National Park and Rajaji National Park. Indian air force helicopters have been spraying water from the region's lakes such as Bhimtal, but were hindered by poor visibility caused by dense smoke. The Indian government is now using a satellite-based fire alarm system that will send alerts to authorities every time a new fire is detected.

In Peshawar, Pakistan at least 15 people travelling on a bus have been killed by a bomb. Vehicle was carrying government employees from nearby areas to the city. An improvised device apparently inside the bus caused the blast, police say. There has been no claim of responsibility, but Peshawar has frequently been targeted by the Pakistani Taliban. Around 30 others were injured, and many were in critical condition, a medical source told Reuters news agency. The bomb went off as the bus passed a main road busy with morning traffic. Previously attack at an army-run school in Peshawar in December of 2014 that killed 140 people, most of them children.

For the first time after turning approver in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks case, Pakistani-American LeT operative David Coleman Headley's deposition started before a Special TADA Court via video-conferencing from a US jail today. His deposition which started a short while ago will continue for next few days as well. Flanked by three persons his attorney John, a US attorney Sarah and an unidenfied person Bob Headley was administered the oath at 7.30 a.m. and Nikam started firing the questions at him.

India had Zika virus attacks as early as in the 1950s, says a BBC report, citing a study conducted by the NIV (National Institute of Virology)  in Pune. The experts team from NIV had published in a paper in 1953, after testing the exposure of Indians to 15 insect-borne diseases, one of which was by the Zika virus. Before the first official case in humans was registered in Nigeria in 1954. 

The 'significant numbers' of people were exposed to the virus as early as in the 1950s, even . Only 33 of the 196 people tested for the disease had immunity to it. The NIV had concluded in their paper that, it therefore seems certain that Zika virus attacks human beings in India. The research team was not too concerned about Zika at the time as it was considered to be a mild condition resulting in just a fever and a slight rash, with no long term implications. However, the threat from the virus has increased 'exponentially' now, enough for the who to declare it as an international public health emergency.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday presided over a high-level meeting to review the progress of the investigation into the Pathankot airbase attack as reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to India.  In the meeting which was attended by the Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership, Islamabad reiterated their strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. 
It was noted with satisfaction that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign had made significant gains and that Pakistan’s entire leadership and institutions were working in complete harmony to counter terrorism and extremism.
The people of Pakistan have resolved that no terrorist would be allowed to use Pakistan’s soil for committing terrorism anywhere in the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. 
Discussing the Pathankot attack, they meeting condemned the terror strike and reiterated their commitment to cooperate with India to eradicate the menace of terrorism.  
The meeting reviewed the progress made on the information provided by India and it was decided to remain in touch with New Delhi in this regard. 
Pakistan expressed confidence that they would remain committed to a sustained, meaningful and comprehensive dialogue process with India.  Meanwhile, India is awaiting Pakistan’s response on the information provided related to the Pathankot incident which is crucial to the upcoming bilateral talks scheduled for later this month.  
India’s foreign ministry has said that Islamabad has been given actionable intelligence that those responsible for the planning and execution of the attack had come from Pakistan.
