Heavy rains eyelashes in few parts of Hyderabad in the evening, overwhelm roads and leading to traffic jams. The city witnessed a  deluge.  The Meteorological Department office said rains under the impact of upper air trench brought down temperature by 5-8 degrees. The highest temperature of 39.3°C recorded in Hanamkonda. In Hyderabad it was 32.2 °C, the lowest in the state, rest of the districts, the maximum temperature was below 35 °C. The hyderabad received 8cm rainfall. This was the highest rainfall for May in last 10 years. According to Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, the upper air trough now runs from Vidarbha to Comorin areas across Telangana. The rains have provided relief to people from heat waves. In Andhra Pradesh The highest temperature of 40.7 °C was recorded in Kurnool, rain occurred at remote places in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra.
